Birmingham’s Hidden Spaces

Birmingham’s Hidden Spaces is a project with the aim of uncovering some of the lost and forgotten histories of our city. For the past three years, the project has been seeking out the lesser-known parts of Birmingham, looking beyond the everyday to unearth the hidden treasures right under our noses.

The many fascinating discoveries have been shared for all to see through stunning photography and video footage, as well as events and public open days. Today marks the start of another week of events from the team, including (of course) tours around Digbeth!

The tours of Digbeth’s Gun Barrel Proof House and our historic pubs have been sold out for weeks now, but there’s nothing stopping you from taking a walk around our part of the city to learn more about its past by following the trails devised by Ben Waddington for Eastside City Park.
