Build, Make, Display

When: Thursday 29th October, 10:30-12:00
Where: Eastside Projects, 86 Heath Mill Lane, Digbeth, B9 4AR
Free

Using Flore Nové-Josserand’s current exhibition City Growth Blues as the inspiration, this half-term workshop at Eastside Projects will see children painting, slicing, sticking and layering to create their own 3D collages.

Nové-Josserand was struck by the boarded-up and closed spaces that dominate Birmingham’s landscape, building her own hoardings to display her photographs and drawings. These brightly coloured hoardings will be the starting point for the workshop collages.

Eastside Projects’ family workshops are free but places must be booked in advance (please email anna@eastsideprojects.org). Suitable for children aged 5-11; children must be accompanied by an adult.

Please bring a camera or camera phone to the workshop and make sure you wear old clothes as things could get messy! Further information is available on the Eastside Projects website.
