Can you help TRJFP Brum?

Our friends over at The Real Junk Food Project are looking for a new home.

The team moved to a kindly donated space in Moseley over a year ago, but are now looking for new digs – hopefully in Digbeth! – to continue their fantastic work.

Please see the message from the team below. If you are able to help, get in touch via their website, Facebook, Twitter, or email them at

Thank you! 🙂

We love you all and can’t thank you enough for all your support over the last two years. It’s been a crazy journey but we are now providing hundreds of meals every week, our Freegan Box Scheme has nearly 100 subscribers and we’d love to keep expanding that…

Space, however, is central to everything we do. We intercept and redistribute well over a tonne of food every week now, that has to be weighed, sorted, repackaged and stored (until a café or event happens). We’ve been lucky enough to be allowed to borrow a small office space to store our food for the last year. That space is the living, beating heart of our operation. Unfortunately that arrangement can’t continue and so we urgently need a new space to store our food…

We don’t need much – 1,200 – 6,000 Sq feet of space would be perfect. We’ll need electric connections for our cold storage and 24×7 access (#foodwaste never sleeps)!

Can you, or someone you know, help? Let us know asap if you have a space we could potentially use.

The TRJFP Brum Team.
