City of Colours Pop-up Shop
The City of Colours festival took over Digbeth earlier this month, and has left some fantastic world class street art all over our neighbourhood.
Considering the festival attracted around 9,000 people in 2014 – including people from as far away as Lithuania – the organisers this week confirmed a two-day event for next year (rejoice!), bringing even more art to Digbeth on the 5th and 6th September 2015. But if you can’t wait until next year to get your next City of Colours fix, never fear, the festival’s pop-up shop will be opening at the Custard Factory this weekend!
Starting this evening, the team behind the festival will be hosting a party at their temporary home in Gibb Street, with guest DJs, artists decorating the shop’s walls and some obligatory celebratory beverages on offer!
The shop will stock affordable art prints along with some original pieces, t-shirts, stickers and much much more. Click here to see further details on the Facebook event page, or below to watch a fantastic video created by St Basil’s – the festival’s official charity.
