Digbeth Bees Please!

When: Friday 8 July, 19:00 onwards
Where: The Anchor Inn, 308 Bradford Street, Digbeth, B5 6ET

The Birmingham Friends of the Earth annual Organic BBQ is almost upon us, so if you like fantastic summer evenings with great food and drink then make sure you come along!

The BBQ takes place next Friday 8th July at the Anchor Pub in Digbeth, coinciding with their Organic Beer Festival. Everyone is welcome, from long-term supporters and campaigners, to people who are completely new to Birmingham FOE.

Pop along to enjoy some tasty treats, and learn more about the incredibly valuable work they do, including campaigning for more bees! See the Facebook page for more information about the BBQ.

Our Bees are endangered, especially in today’s cities. A beehive in the Digbeth Community Garden would encourage bee activity and support the local flora by increasing biodiversity.

Birmingham FOE are raising funds to introduce a beehive in the garden, and keep it there for years to come. Bees are essential to a healthy ecosystem, and for hayfever sufferers like yours truly, the honey produced would help relieve many of the symptoms.

And Digbeth honey is too good an opportunity to miss! Learn more about the campaign, or donate as little as £5 here.
