Digbeth O’Lympics 2012
Yes folks, it’s that time of the year again. After London’s pathetic attempt to emulate our successful and silky smooth O’lympics (even going so far as to steal the name, thinking that by removing the apostrophe we wouldn’t sue them) we are pleased to announce that the real thing is nigh.
The date is Sunday 16th September (All-Ireland GAA Football Final day).
We will be meeting every Thursday at 7pm at The Spotted Dog to discuss such minor problems as construction of the stadium, whether Saudi Arabia will be allowed in this year, AND major issues such as Aftab’s Hot Chilli Eating Event.
Do come along and get involved, especially if you own welding equipment, a carpentry business, a screwdriver, or have a garden infested with snails.

As you can see from the statement from Lord Tighe-Coe of DOCOG, the Digbeth O’Lympics is only a few days and hours away.
Digbeth is Good has chosen to mark the occasion by unveiling a no-expense-spared countdown timer until the extravagant opening ceremony which will put even Danny Boyle to shame.
As the event approaches, please make sure to take your seats on time or risk a walk of shame to the mouth of the River Rea (there will be no empty seat fiasco at the Digbeth O’Lympics), and don’t forget your swimming costumes. All the action can be caught live in Digbeth, no tickets required!
