Drop Beats Not Bombs – 10th Anniversary
Founder of Birmingham’s Drop Beats Not Bombs, Boogie Dave, is also one half of the team behind Digbeth’s newest addition to the late-night family, Suki10c.
This year, DBNB celebrates its 10th birthday, with a road closure, one huge warehouse and five (yes, FIVE) outdoor stages!
The full line-up covers a diverse spectrum of dance music, from house to drum and bass, roots and dub to basstronics, and a chill-out stage. There will also be a “full-on visual assault” from over 30 of the UK’s finest VJ crews.
For more information, visit the Facebook event page. Tickets are available online, but if you want to be able to say “I was there”, you would be advised to snap one up quickly here, as they are selling fast!
Digbeth Residents Association has a pair of tickets to DBNB to give away to our readers! If you’d like to get your hands on the pair of tickets, simply answer the question below:
Q: Which anniversary is Drop Beats Not Bombs celebrating in 2013?
To enter, please send an email with the subject “DBNB 2013”, your full name, address, telephone number, and the answer to the above question to email@example.com. Entries must be received before 19:00 on Thursday 2nd May 2013, and winners will be notified soon after. Please see full terms and conditions below.
Residents of Digbeth are advised that DBNB will mean that the area will be noticeably louder and busier than usual. From the location in Pickford Street, we hope that only a minimal number of residents will be affected. Residents will shortly be receiving an information leaflet through their letterboxes from the event organisers. However, if you have any questions prior to or during the event, please contact organisers David Whittall (07535 966 314) or Laur Beech (07738 165 024).
Digbeth Residents Association appreciates your understanding and support in keeping Digbeth vibrant.
