Ellie B Jewels

I recently received an email from Digbeth resident Lisa Zdravkovic, who wanted to share some thoughts about Ellie B Jewels in Digbeth Court, 162-164 High Street Digbeth. Here’s what she had to say:

For numerous years I have put off a goal to attempt to learn to sew. Since being an art student and taking an unexpected change in my career plans, I never got round to learning or making an outfit. I searched on and off for sewing classes. This year I came across Ellie B Jewels, who teaches sewing from complete beginners to advanced.

Ellie, my tutor, who feels like a friend I’ve known for years, also teaches knitting, crochet, jewellery and how to make fascinators. She tries to cater for all by scheduling classes during working hours, out of working hours and on Saturdays. She holds small group lessons to enable her to have one-to-one time with students. She is very flexible with time, requirements and offers very reasonable rates. From my fourth class I started to make my very first dress:

Ellie is a fabulous lady, so approachable, down to earth, patient and full of smiles. With tea, coffee and biscuits shared not only do you learn new skills, or improve, you find yourself in a relaxed, easy going social too.

Now if that’s not a glowing recommendation, then I don’t know what is!

If you’ve found a great but unknown gem in Digbeth and want to tell the world about it, get in touch by email, and we’ll share the best thoughts right here on our website.
