A-Eight is a group exhibition of emerging Central and Eastern European artists found after Centrala’s open call. The artists featured include Emilia Maryniak, Karolina Korupczynska, Sylwia Narbutt, Olga Guse, and Alex Maczkowski. See more on the Centrala website or Facebook event page.

Kurdish Film Screening
Sunday 1st May, 12:00-21:00
£3 suggested donation

Centrala present a selection of documentaries and feature films on the Kurdish struggle, with time for discussion and food. The screenings will explore Kurds in the Turkish state, Kurdish culture, and the struggle of women in the aftermath of the successful resistance against the Islamic State (ISIS) in Kobanê. Leaver and Ræppen

A night of experimental music and performance from Bulgarian drone duo Leaver, débuting their full-length album Head Home. Joining Leaver will be solo artist Tim Holehouse and his new shamanic ritual ambient project Ræppen. Visit the website for more information.

This Digbeth First Friday, Centrala present a screening of Through A Glass, Darkly!, a selection of short films as part of Vivid’s Noise + Nostalgia series. The programme includes challenging, transgressive work originally connected to the industrial scene, created by provocative filmmakers of the early 1980s pursuing occult interests.
