Fast Food Digbeth

Digbeth has an array of fast food outlets, much like any other British high street, and it’s usual for these shops to adapt to cater for changing tastes.

The fried chicken place opposite Alcester Street has succumbed to the prevalent Dixie Chicken brand franchise. Additionally, those who use Digbeth High Street regularly will have seen that changes are afoot in (old faithful) Salt n Pepper (opposite the coach station).

Salt n Pepper has been split into two, and will soon see a revised offering and opening times. I’m told that the right portion will remain the same, offering a variety of standard fast fare, while the left portion will become a noodle bar.

This will certainly be a welcome addition to the High Street, and I’m sure students and staff of South and City College will appreciate a change! Once the noodle bar is installed, both halves of Salt n Pepper will revert to new opening hours of 12 noon-12 midnight daily.

Bon apetit!
