Flatpack Palais

The seventh Flatpack Festival takes place from 21-31 March 2013, spreading across two weekends for the first time ever. The Festival’s crowd funding campaign to pay for its 2013 festival hub was a complete success, having raised £7,734, 110% of its target.

As a result, the Custard Factory’s Old Library will be transformed into the Flatpack Palais in March, becoming the beating heart of the festival, where people can meet, kick back with a piece of cake, pick up a brochure or watch a film.

The Palais will have its grand opening on the evening of Thursday 28th March, and will be open until Sunday the 31st March. As well as an information point and a place for festival-goers to network, this year the Flatpack Palais will host parties, live music, workshops and an exhibition of pioneering screen-printed posters by Birmingham Arts Lab dating from the 60s and 70s.

The full festival programme is available on the Flatpack website. If you’d like to get involved in the Festival a little bit more, the organisers are still on the look out for volunteers; click here to find out more.
