Green Restaurant Award success for Digbeth!

Birgit from ChangeKitchen accepting the Award

Birmingham’s most sustainable and environmentally-aware dining establishments are recognised for their efforts at the annual Birmingham Green Restaurant Awards. Prizes are presented in four categories, along with an overall winner.

The categories are: Waste Management, Energy Reduction, Staff and Community, and Purchasing.

ChangeKitchen, based at SIFA Fireside, scooped a hat-trick at the 2012 awards, winning in the Waste Management category, runner up in Community Engagement, and collecting the prize as the Overall Winner.

Congratulations to Birgit and the whole team at ChangeKitchen! :-)

Digbeth-based Warehouse Cafe has been a winner in this competition in the past; does this mark Digbeth as the centre for a green food revolution?! Digbeth’s pioneering food scene is yet another reason for us to be recognised as a destination in Birmingham.

Digbeth Residents Association have already tasted ChangeKitchen’s delights; if you would like to too, contact them and let the restaurant come to you!
