“Until the lion has its own historian, tales of hunting will always be of the hunter”
– African Proverb

Herstory is back this Digbeth First Friday, with a night of poetry, music and storytelling, exploring the historic stories of the under-represented diaspora.

The line-up includes Nafeesa Hamid, 4i, Amina Jama, and Madi Saskia, and limited open mic slots will also be available on the night. The organisers encourage you to bring an alternative history article or piece of information you’d like to share rolled up into a scroll. All will be explained on the night – when Chakrajuice and Vetkoek will also be on sale.

For more information, see the Facebook event page here.
