The Custard Factory’s cinema is getting a new lease of life with the Mockingbird Theatre officially launching on Saturday 12th July!

Showcasing a mix of established and new artists, from original works in film to ground-breaking plays and live comedy nights, the 101-seat venue will offer an intimate atmosphere. In addition, the adjoining Mockingbird Bar will screen locally-produced short film, animation, music and art to promote the region’s talent, as well as offering specialist fine liquors and unusual beers and ales.

Wednesday, 25th June
Custard Pie: Battle of the Comedians
Ten comedians fight to stay on the stage before the audience decides their time is up!

Saturday, 28th June
Korean Film Festival
Birmingham’s first Korean Film Festival, with two big screen film showings plus guest speakers, music and activities throughout the day.

Wednesday, 2nd July
Dave Twentyman
Comedy Hut presents Dave Twentyman.

Friday, 5th July
Over the Fence
International film festival on tour from Perth, Australia. Featuring comedy shorts, including Birmingham-made Titanic Love.
