Movement in Digbeth

Trams are set to return to the streets of Birmingham after the Government approved Centro plans to extend Midland Metro through the heart of the city. They will provide a fast link from New Street Station to Snow Hill, and serve as a platform for a future rapid transit network that can connect and feed into the forthcoming High Speed Rail terminus.

Between 15th October and the New Year, Enterprise and Severn Trent Water will carry out essential sewer and clean water relocations throughout the city centre. Work will take place in Colmore Circus, Colmore Gate and Bull Street, but the site office will be located 113 Barford Street, Digbeth.

Residents may also notice the erection of a temporary structure and more activity than usual in Rea Street South, while a materials compound for these works is established.
