Naked Lungs is a newly established Birmingham collective focused on promoting and providing a platform for a myriad of art forms. This will be their first monthly event, which will also launch the first edition of their self-published magazine to document art in Birmingham as a whole.
Naked Lungs hope to work with the best spoken word artists in Birmingham, some of which feature in the line-up for their first event:
- Keiran Goddard
“Keiran Goddard writes with an intensity and commitment matched only by his imagistic facility. His is an original new voice that demands our attention.” Luke Kennard
- Benjamin Jones
“Free form philosophy, live on stage”
- Garrie Fletcher
Writes edgy adult fiction and poetry about the dark knuckles of the earth, the pauses between stations and the hiss of the city.
- Hannah Graham (Annie J)
Her work is personal, reflective and poignant; a fusion between witty word play and creative storytelling.
- Jaden Larker (Seasick Fist)
“Spoken word poet, wandering wordsmith, retired magician”
