Digbeth Residents Association has been recently invited to join the Nechells Ward Community First panel. To learn more about Community First, please visit the Community Development Fund website.

In relation to this, Digbeth residents may find the idea of Particatory Budgeting interesting. Participatory budgeting directly involves local people in making decisions on the spending and priorities for a defined public budget.

This is essentially what the Community First panel aims to do, by involving people from all of society to decide where the funding for Nechells Ward should be spent. DRA welcomes all comments and suggestions from residents as to areas/organisations they would like to suggest to receive funding; we also encourage as many residents as possible to get involved!
