People Stand Together – Community Mural

When: 4-10 August
Where: PST Club, 71 Lombard Street, Digbeth B12 0QU

Two talented graffiti artists, RCF1 and HOAKSER, will work in collaboration to immortalise the history, culture and local community of Digbeth in a new mural for PST Club.

Birmingham’s own HOAKSER, whose work is currently held in galleries in 13 countries across five continents, and Paris’ RCF1, who has over 25 years experience and has exhibited from Tokyo to Buenos Aires, will be painting from the 4th to 10th August:

We hope the artwork, entitled People Stand Together, will celebrate Highgate as a beacon of mutual tolerance. Families from across the world have made their homes here since the city was founded by the tribe of Beorma on the banks of the River Rea back in 700 AD.

The artists will take inspiration from portraits of Highgate residents taken by Some Cities photographers Dan Burwood and Andrew Jackson, to adorn the facade of PST. However, nothing is set in stone, and Brum Spirit are calling upon you to tell them what/who/where should be in the mural to show the world why Birmingham is such a great place to live!
