Play Poland Film Festival

From the 28th September the second edition of the biggest festival of contemporary Polish films will descend on Digbeth.

The Play Poland Film Festival is a UK-wide touring film festival, presented in Birmingham by the Polish Expats Association. The event’s aim is to promote contemporary Polish cinematography and to help to establish a strong understanding of  contemporary Polish culture outside of Poland.

The programme features animation, documentaries and experimental short films, with a unique opportunity to see the Oscar -nominated ’80 million’.

Digbeth has long-standing links with the Polish community here in Birmingham, so it is only fitting that two Digbeth venues, The Edge and The Spotted Dog, will be hosting Play Poland screenings. In addition, the festival’s opening party will be taking place at The Spotted Dog from 7pm on Saturday the 29th September.
