Police Crime Commissioner Elections

On Thursday 15th November, voting for the new West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner will open.

The Police and Crime Commissioner will be responsible for:

  • Coming up with priorities for police in the region;
  • Setting the local policing budget, including the portion of Council Tax that helps pay for it;
  • Holding the chief constable accountable for police performance;
  • Helping improve community safety.
