Queer Traces: Realness

When: Saturday 16 May, 17:00-20:00
Where: Vivid Projects, 16 Minerva Works, Fazeley Street, Digbeth, B5 5RS

As part of this year’s Museums at Night, join Vivid Projects for Realness on Saturday.

Michael Lightborne and Kate Spence present a live AV installation deconstructing Jennie Livingston’s seminal documentary of the 80s vogue ball scene in Paris is Burning (1990). The installation will feature the durational performance ‘Strike a Pose’ by Kate Spence, Lightborne’s ‘New Gods’ video sculptures, and a throbbing, otherworldly, disco soundtrack.

This event is part of Queer Traces, a programme of events exploring queer glamour and contested sexuality. Visit the Vivid Projects website for more information.
