Resurfacing Work Starts Today on Bradford St
Digbeth Residents Association has been very active in ensuring that Birmingham City Council make full use of the Section 106 funds from the Abacus development to improve the surrounding area.
After months of emails to the council’s Planning Department, the engineer responsible for the work and a couple of phone conversations with the contractor actually carrying out the improvements, ground was finally broken this morning on Bradford St. DRA of course was there to witness the commencement of the pavement resurfacing, and after seeking prior permission from the contractor, Val Woodward (Chairperson) was allowed to make the first cut.
This is definitely something to celebrate! DRA would like to thank everyone who played a part in making this (finally!) happen, and hope that the new-look Bradford St is to everyone’s liking. Full details of the work being completed are outlined in this file attachment: OC-5420.Site Commencement.Resident.25.03.11.
