Rounders and Tai Chi at Eastside City Park

Digbeth Residents Association were out in force at Eastside City Park on May Day, celebrating the start of the summer with a few games of rounders and some tai chi.

Over 20 people, aged 6 to 60, from Birmingham and beyond (as far away as Leeds!), took part in friendly games of rounders. Even the Digbeth Police joined in to make sure there was no cheating!

It was a similar story with the tai chi sessions, an ancient and calm form of exercise and meditation, and best of all – it was all free!

Although this was a special occasion, this free fun will continue at Eastside Park all summer. Please see below for more information on the individual activities; if you are around please come down to the park and join in!

Tai chi is a relaxing Tuesday lunchtime activity, especially if the weather keeps up, and it would be great if lots of Digbeth organisations get teams together for friendly (or not so friendly!) rounders matches on a Thursday afternoon.

Make sure you pop down to our local park and make the most of the free fun on offer!
