Selr8r at Boxxed Workspace

SELR8R will take over Boxxed in Digbeth from April until June 2014, and is described as a “finishing school for start-ups”:
Businesses looking for investment submit proposals and if accepted, will receive £10,000 in seed-funding, along with a 50-day intensive programme including accommodation and advice from professional investors.

The professionals lending their support to the initiative are Irish Dragons’ Den panel member Sean O’Sullivan, Boxxed founder Danny Fisher, mentor Alan Clayton, and social networking pioneer Bill Liao – the first investor in Xing.com.

Up to 25 start-ups will be accepted onto the business boot-camp, where business models, customer profiles and marketing messages will be comprehensively reviewed to see where improvements can be made.

Mr Clayton said: “Birmingham is one of the most exciting and creative cities to set up and expand a business. This new programme will see us put start-ups through their paces in the hope of developing the city’s next set of thriving companies.”
