Short Waves Film Festival

When: Friday 18 – Monday 21 December 2015, screenings from 18:00
Where: Centrala, Unit 4 Minerva Works, 158 Fazeley Street, Digbeth, B5 5RT
Tickets: Free (available online here)

Short Waves is a festival showcasing five envelope-pushing short films in the five European cities. Taking place on the shortest days of the year, when night is longer than daylight hours, this unofficial celebration of short movies is a great opportunity to learn more about art from a country with which you may not be familiar (and escape the Christmas carnage outside!).

Tickets are free, but need to be claimed in advance here. The films selected for this year’s festival are:

  • Home Animation by Agnieszka Borowa (14’22”, 2014)
  • Milky Brother by Vahram Mkhitaryan (29’59”, 2014)
  • Invisible Dokumentary by Zofia Pregowska (22’03”, 2014)
  • Unwanted Desires by Ola Szmida (4’00”, 2014)
  • Survey About Men by Mateusz Glowacki (30’53”, 2014)
