Sunday Classics Returns!

When: Sunday 5th April, 16:30 onwards
Where: 104 Warwick Street, Digbeth, B12 0NH

After a little hiatus owing to the St Patrick’s Day celebrations, the brilliant and free Sunday Classics returns to The Spotted Dog this weekend.

For the uninitiated, Sunday Classics evolved from a conversation between members of staff at The Spotted Dog, many of whom are students at the Birmingham Conservatoire. The free event is designed to give the talented musicians a platform, as well as offering audiences the chance to enjoy and learn about classical music in a very accessible, non-threatening and comfortable pub setting.

Lucy Stabler is the brains behind the event. She says:

I decided to set up Sunday Classics after noticing a distinct lack of professional development opportunities for all young classical musicians outside the normal Symphony Hall avenues. Following regular requests from pub regulars for me and other staff to perform, I thought it would be great to open the doors to in this marvellous pub and arts venue to a whole array of musicians.

Following the performances to feed your hunger for good music, there will be food available to sate your stomach! To learn more about the event, visit the Facebook page here.
