Swingamajig Festival returns to Digbeth this April for its fifth year.
Produced by the team behind Shambala Festival and curated by Electric Swing Circus, Swingamajig is a seven-stage wonderland of vintage sights and sounds, all taking place under Digbeth’s railway arches.
From gypsy jazz to Balkan beats, jungle DJs to tropical rhythms, and a healthy dose of traditional and electro swing, Swingamajig features a diverse array of acts and music. Headlining this year’s festival are The Correspondents, The Freestylers, Electric Swing Circus and 16 piece swing band, and Jim Wynn Swing Orchestra.
What makes Swingamajig a truly different festival are the fringe performances, including cabaret, magic, burlesque dance, art installations, and walkabout performances. This year the festival will also be accompanied by the Swingamajig Bazaar – a free family-friendly vintage and craft market featuring street food from Digbeth Dining Club, games, and dance workshops. The bazaar takes place from 11:00-18:00 on Sunday 30 April at Spotlight.
