The Central School of Make-up
The Central School of Make-up, Birmingham’s first internationally accredited independent make-up school, has recently launched in The Custard Factory. It will be the first training school in the UK outside London to offer the International Make-up Association (IMA) Certificate in Make-up Artistry, which was previously only available in select schools in London, Dubai and Moscow.
The school was founded by Laura Hannon, formally Head of Make-up and Artistry for The London School of Beauty and Make-up, which is the largest independent school of its kind in Europe. Laura’s 15 years’ experience in the industry have included working internationally on catwalk shows for designers such as Chanel, at the Cannes Film Festival, and being a guest presenter on television.
Offering a variety of short and intensive courses, ranging from two days to ten weeks, full-time or part-time at evenings/weekends, The Central School of Make-up will combine hands-on studio tuition with seminars from acclaimed guest make-up artists.
