The results are in!
Last week, after some discussion on Twitter, we decided to settle the question “what are people living in Digbeth known as?” once and for all.
A poll was set up on Facebook with four options, but after some more tweeting, a fifth option was added.
The results have been presented in the pie chart that follows this post. It turns out that Diggers, the fifth option added at the eleventh hour, has been victorious, securing 47% of the total vote.

Oh dear, oh dear…….years ago, I was restaurant manager at the food service concession within the old Digbeth coach station. A not particularly pleasant place akin to the illegitimate offspring of a wayward McDonald’s having an illicit greasy grope with Mrs Wimpy……you get the idea. And what was this overpriced and undernourishing edifice of junkfood called?
Yep, it was called Diggers
