Tru Street Dance is a diverse group of talented performers based in the Sticky Dance Studio in Digbeth.

As well as being a performing dance company, Tru Street run open classes where everyone regardless of age race or dance ability is invited to sample a taste of their dynamic choreography.

Tru Street have recently been awarded £2,000 from the Ronnie Bowker Foundation Fund to put towards their latest production.

Ikeela Sealey, Director said: “We are extremely grateful for the funding we have received. It will contribute towards our ‘Step in to my World’ project. The project will have a high level of involvement from young people with real life experience, it will help showcase their potential to create and perform, challenging stereotypes of what can be achieved despite illness.”
