Warm Winter Welcome

This winter, as you prepare for the season’s festivities and temperatures begin to fall, spare a thought for people who will be spending winter on the streets.

Digbeth’s SIFA Fireside is asking everyone to support their Warm Winter Welcome campaign, by donating a rough sleepers’ kit to providing financial support to help heat their Drop In Centre.

Cath Gilliver, Chief Executive of SIFA Fireside, explains:
“During winter, as we walk to and from our places of work and our homes, as we do our shopping and meet friends, we can’t help noticing people sleeping on the streets, cold and alone. It’s difficult to walk by, but by supporting our campaign, you can help us provide a warm winter welcome to Birmingham’s homeless people. Your money will help us provide a warm safe space where people can have a hot meal, showers and warm clothing, and most importantly people who can listen and support. Our aim is always to get people off the streets and work with them to rebuild their lives. Please help us in this vital task.”
