Welcome to The Emerald Village
When: Sunday 16 March, 11:00-18:00
Where: The Custard Factory, Digbeth
Free Entry
By now, you should know that Birmingham’s St Patrick’s Day celebrations are almost upon us! As well as the usual variety of fringe events, 2014 will see the inauguration of The Emerald Village in The Custard Factory on parade day.
Two years in the planning, The Emerald Village will be split to offer two distinctly different but equally fantastic celebratory experiences:
The Emerald Garden
Zellig Car Park, Custard Factory (off Digbeth High Street)
The Emerald Garden will be a mini festival for the revellers of the day, boasting:
• A large stage curated and hosted by The Moseley Folk Festival
• Street food vendors including Pietanic, Handmade Burgers, and Bourneville Waffle
• A large bar from The Old Crown, offering craft ales along with the usual selection
• Live art from local street artists
The Emerald Village Family Area
Gibb Street, The Custard Factory
Gibb Street will be transformed into a strict no alcohol zone, offering entertainment for all the family:
• A pop-up restaurant and tea room in The Old Library serving traditional Irish food
• Live busker-stlye music from Trip to Bham Tradfest
• Indoor vintage market from Sutton Vintage Fairs
• Childrens entertainment and musical workshops from Footie Bugs and Creation Station
